Recommended and minimum pc game split second system requirements. ‘Split/Second’ also known as ‘Split/Second: Velocity’ in Europe, is a racing video game initially released on 18th May 2010. The game follows arcade style racing. Developed by a collaboration of Black Rock Studio and Sumo Digital, the game was published by Disney Interactive Studios. Split/Second supports the platforms of Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iOS, PlayStation Portable, OnLive and Java Platform Micro Edition. The OnLive version of the game was released in June 2011. The game managed to receive generally positive reviews from the critics at several of  the gaming websites. IGN.com rated the game as 8.5/10 while GameSpot gave the game a rating of 7.5/10. The aggregating websites of Metacritic and GameRankings both gave the PS3 version an 84% approval rating while the rating for the Xbox version on both these websites turned out to be 82%. The game’s nominations for awards include the ‘Award for Best Driving Game of the year 2010;’ by VGX and the Interactive Achievement’s ‘Award for the Racing Game of the Year’. Along with the game, a Downloadable Content package was also released known as the ‘time Savers’ pack. It is named so because the players do not have to go through all the fuss of unlocking the contents of the game; all of the content comes unlocked in this package. Another package, the ‘High Octane Supercar’ was released at the end of August in 2010. This package was not free of cost. On October 12, 2010, a package called the ‘Survival at the Rock’ was released and this too was not free. Minepit Park is a Special Survival Track which was introduced in this addition to the game. This package also included a multiplayer-only mode. On October 20, 2010, a package called the ‘Deadline’ pack was released which introduced three new cars to the game in addition to a modified version of the Coyote Car. On November 2, 2010, the final Downloadable Content Package was released which was named as ‘Quarry Onslaught’. This package consists of a new Quarry track and an Onslaught Game type. In this new game type, the players race on the track while a helicopter is firing missiles on the course. The ‘Ultimate Edition’ of the game combines all of the downloadable content with the game and is available in Europe.

The game play features a fictional Television Reality Program in which the players are starring. The rewards of the race consist of money and glory. There is a ‘Powerplay’ meter in the game which the players crank up by performing various feats. The full charge of this powerplay can be used to create hurdle for the player’s rivals. These obstructions include explosions, collapsing of buildings and airplane explosions. In addition to these, the powerplay can also be used for creating ease for the player. However, the Artificially Intelligent Opponents can also use the powerplay on the players. The Power bar is divided into three levels and all of these increase in their cumulative destructive ability as they add up. The single player mode is divided into 12 episodes of the Reality TV Show, each of which consists of five races. Out of these races, 4 are unlocked in every episode and making it through these unlock the fifth ‘Elite’ race. The many of the featured modes include the survival mode, the elimination mode and many others. There is no option for customization of one’s car as the game focuses mainly on the game play. The game supports single-player and the multiplayer modes. A total of 8 multiplayers are supported in an online session. Additionally, the split-screen offline mode is also supported by the game. The visual graphics of the game are pretty impressive especially the explosion animations. The dramatic destruction coupled with stunning cars puts a lot on the game to look forward to. In the game, the players can also experience the unabridged charisma of Hollywood. Full of the thrill of explosions, Split/Second: Velocity manages to provide one with an adequate adrenaline rush.
